Ensamble
Ensambles is a series of works I’ve been doing in parallel to the paintings. In a way Its a relieve from the structure i’ve impose my self for some of my other pieces. For me this series is a playground for the mind, a space to create whiteout boundaries of material or ideas, using objects that I found and collect, creating relations between them, playing.
Since most of my paintings are on large canvases, they need space to be appreciated, but this ensambles are the oposite, I intend to create small universes that urge the spectator to get close, almost get in contact whit them in order to access their content . This closeness allow me to interact in a completely new way with the public.
Acknowledgement (2017) This piece appropiates Coltrane’s theme from the album Love supreme . I’ve been reinterpreting it in different mediums since first it was first exhibit in Cuentos cortos in La Erre Espacio cultural .
Abducción I (2018) This piece began the series: Abducción inspired in the ovni abduction idea that got international prominence in the 1950s and 1960s .
